Victoria Shamrocks Thank Outgoing Salmonbellies GM

The Victoria Shamrocks would like to extend their thanks to outgoing New Westminster Salmonbellies Governor and General Manager Dan Richardson, who is retiring from those positions after sixteen years in a management position with the club.

“I have really appreciated working with Dan on the Board of Governors,” said Shamrocks Governor Jim Hartshorne. “He brought a clear sense of business and a ‘league-first’ mentality that has been instrumental in working towards our goal of bringing more Mann Cup championships to the West.”

Richardson is retiring to focus on his position as General Manager of the Vancouver Warriors of the NLL. He was hired for that position by Canucks Sports & Entertainment when they purchased the Vancouver Stealth franchise and re-branded it as the Warriors before the 2018-19 NLL season.

Replacing Richardson will be Paul Horn as President, and Ray Porcellato as General Manager. Both are New Westminster natives who are excited to be taking on their respective roles with the club. They will be working to quickly get up to speed for the league Annual General Meeting this Saturday, and the Graduating Junior Draft coming up in February 2020.
