Mike Simpson
Head Coach
Simpson, a Victoria native who works in the community as an Assistant Chief with the Saanich Fire department won a Mann Cup with the Shamrocks in 1997 and a Minto Cup in 1988 with Esquimalt Legion as captain for both teams. Over 9 seasons in the WLA, all with the Victoria Shamrocks, Simpson played 231 games and had 327 points including 53 points in 60 playoff games. He began his coaching career in 2001 with the Jr. Shamrocks and in 2004 was the first Head Coach for the expansion Minnesota Swarm of the NLL. He was named Head Coach of the Shamrocks in February 2021 after joining the club as the Offensive Coach in 2017. Simpson also serves as Head Coach of Team Scotland in International box lacrosse.
Art Webster
Assistant Coach
Webster appeared in 558 Senior A games as a player, tallying 174 goals and 447 assists and winning two Mann Cup titles as a player (1979, 1983). He has now supplemented that with three Mann Cup titles as a coach (2003, 2005, 2015). He was honoured by the Canadian Lacrosse Hall of Fame with his induction for his contributions as a player in 2007.
Bruce Alexander
Assistant Coach
Alexander played for the Shamrocks from 1994 through 2003, winning three Mann Cups with the club in 1997, 1999, and 2003, and accumulating 387 points in 255 games played during his WLA career. He also played in the National Lacrosse League between 1999 and 2010.
