Jesse King, Chris Origlieri named WLA First Team All Stars
Shamrocks forward Jesse King, and goaltender Chris Origlieri were named First Team All-Stars by the WLA on Friday.
Jesse King finished the season with an impressive 24 goals and 41 assists in just 13 games, placing him second in the league in points per game (PPG) with 5.0.
Chris Origlieri dominated as the top goaltender in wins (10), goals against average (6.70), and save percentage (.842)
The other First Team All-Stars were as follows,
On defense, Isaac Ngyou of the Maple Ridge Burrards, Jalen Chaster of the Coquitlam Adanacs, and Drew Belgrave of the New Westminster Salmonbellies lead the way.
On Offense, Will Malcom of the Salmonbellies, Robert Church of the Langley Thunder. Malcom led the regular season in scoring with 52 goals and 60 assists for 112 points, Church finished with 48 points in 10 games.
The goaltender selected for the Second All-Star Team is Brandon Humphrey, from the Maple Ridge Burrards. Humphrey finished the season with an .886% save percentage, & 703 saves.
Evan Messenger and Nate Wade from the Nanaimo Timbermen, and Gordie Phillips from the Burnaby Lakers were selected as defenders, while Ben McDonald and Jacob Dunbar from the Lakers, and Zach Manns from the Timbermen, were selected on offense.
