Victoria Shamrocks Sign Key Returning Veterans

Victoria, BC – The Victoria Shamrocks are pleased to announce a number of key veteran players are returning for the 2018 Western Lacrosse Association season.

A healthy and rejuvenated Rhys Duch returns for his 10th season with the Shamrocks after being hampered by injuries in 2017. Assistant Captains Matt Yager and Greg Harnett will bring their leadership to the Shamrocks defensive corps again this year, along with 2017’s most popular player as voted by the fans, Ben McCullough. Chris Wardle and Casey Jackson will add firepower to the offense coming off successful seasons in the National Lacrosse League.

“Our fans have been asking who is returning for a while now and we’re happy to give them a taste of what’s in store,” said Shamrocks General Manager Chris Welch. “As illustrated by this group of tremendous players and others yet to be announced, we’re keeping much of our core intact as we strive to get back on top in a very competitive league. We think our fans will like the blend of veteran experience with the injection of youth that’s coming into our lineup.”
