Victoria Shamrocks honour families at this Fridays Home Game

In honour of our Family Night this Friday vs Coquitlam Adanacs, presented by Wilson's Transportation, we are excited to announce that the ball drop before the game will be performed by Mr. John Wilson and the Family of Constable Sarah Beckett. We are also honoured to be working with the RCMP where they will be accepting donations towards the ‘Constable Sarah Beckett Memorial Scholarship Fund’. For the next six home games a donation to the fund will enter you a chance to win the ball drop at our July 28 Fan Appreciation game. Game tickets can be purchased HERE or by calling 250-478-7625.

The Capital Regional District's traffic safety commission decided a memorial scholarship would be a way to honour Beckett, while also annually raising awareness of traffic safety issues and community service provided by the region's police force.

The $2,000 scholarship would be awarded annually to a youth entering a career in law enforcement. Consideration will also be given to academic achievement, financial need and community service.
