Shamrocks General Manager Chris Welch was pleased with the draft, “I never expected to be able to draft Messenger and Nass.  Messenger in junior speaks for itself and he’s going to be a star in the WLA for years to come.  Nass showed tremendous promise taking the Jr’s by storm as an intermediate and may be the steal of the draft.  Overall it was a special night as we drafted two local players with close ties to the organization in Wade and Hamilton with their families’ rich history and deep connections to lacrosse in Victoria.  The organization is excited for all seven draft picks and we want to welcome and congratulate them and hope their future is bright and successful with us.”

The Victoria Shamrocks’ 68th season begins at home on Friday May 19 vs. the Langley Thunder at 7:30.
