Victoria Shamrocks acquire Doug Langlois at WLA trade deadline
Victoria, BC – The Victoria Shamrocks are excited to announce that they have acquired transitional player Doug Langlois from the Nanaimo Timbermen at the WLA trade deadline last night, for a 5th round draft pick in 2017.Â
The 6’0â€, 200lbs transitional Langlois hails from Toronto, but has played his junior and senior lacrosse in Nanaimo. Langlois appeared in 84 WLA games across six seasons of action which included 38 goals and 37 assists for 75 points. In 10 games this season, Langlois has added 2 goals and 8 assists with the Timbermen.
“Langlois is a gritty veteran who adds depth to our back end, but can also play up front if neededâ€, added general manager Chris Welch on the addition of Langlois at the WLA trade deadline on Thursday.
The next game is in Langley on Wednesday July 6th, as the Shamrocks take on the Thunder at 7:00pm. Two days later, on Friday July 8th the Shamrocks return home to play the Coquitlam Adanacs at 7:45. Details on these games and how to get tickets are available at the tickets tab above
