Victoria, BC – Friday night was fun for everybody as the Victoria Shamrocks outplayed the Coquitlam Adanacs en route to a 15-4 win. The Shamrocks entered the day knowing that the night’s game wasn’t going to impact the standings. The ‘Rocks are sitting firmly in second place regardless of what the outcome was going to be. The goal was to still beat Coquitlam and get all the momentum they can before they enter the playoffs. And boy the Shamrocks sure got some momentum.

It was a slow start for the Shamrocks who were just ahead by 1 goal after the first 20 minutes. It was Marshall King scoring the first goal of the night and his first career WLA goal. The second period really set the tone for the rest of the game. After giving up the first goal with less than two minutes into the first, the Shamrocks went on to score 7 goals in the period. Brad McCulley earned his first WLA goal as well. Everybody was feeling good when the first two periods were complete.

Casey Jackson added two goals in the third to his league-leading 45 on the season. By the end of the game it was pretty clear who was the winner and loser. Victoria proved that they are one of the best teams heading into the WLA playoffs. With one more game left in the regular season, the ‘Rocks roll into Sunday with anticipation of meeting with the top team in the league for the first time since June 14th. It will certainly be a can’t miss game for Shamrocks Nation and for lacrosse fans of all ages.

You can see the Shamrocks face off the New Westminster Salmonbellies for Fan Appreciation Night sponsored by SLEGG Building Materials on Sunday, July 29th at 6:00pm. Tickets for the game can be purchased here. There will be a pregame tailgate beginning at 3:30pm before the doors open at 5:30pm. Fans are reminded that this is the last game to use regular season vouchers as those vouchers can NOT be used during the playoffs.
