Shamrocks Trade Nick Scott to Maple Ridge

The Victoria Shamrocks have traded Nick Scott to the Maple Ridge Burrards in exchange for a 1st round draft pick in the 2023 WLA Graduating Junior Draft. The Shamrocks originally drafted Scott seventh overall in the 2021 WLA Graduating Junior Draft.

"We were really looking forward to having Nick in our lineup, and he felt the same way," said Shamrocks General Manager Chris Welch. "However, in the time since we drafted him last year, his work situation has changed to the extent that it would have been difficult for him to play for us."

"We agreed it would be best if we could work out a trade to let him play closer to home and while we're sorry to see Nick go, we're excited to add another first round pick in what promises to be a deep draft next year."
