Clinching first place will need to wait for another game as the Shamrocks dropped a 13-7 decision to the New Westminster Salmonbellies on Thursday night at Queens Park Arena.
With the game tied 2-2 mid-way through the 1st period, the Salmonbellies would rattle off 7 consecutive goals to seize total control of the contest.
With the victory, the Salmonbellies clinched a playoff spot, while the Shamrocks bid to finish atop the WLA standing will come down to Saturday's came in Coquitlam.
