Shamrocks Sign Wilson Brothers
The Victoria Shamrocks are pleased to announce that they have signed the Wilson brothers, Max and Casey, for the 2023 WLA season.
Max, a 23 year-old left-handed defender was drafted by the Shamrocks in 2021 but has yet to suit up due to the season lost to the COVID pandemic in 2021 and a knee injury that kept him out of action in 2022. He is coming off his rookie season in the National Lacrosse League with the Halifax Thunderbirds.
Casey, a right-handed offensive player, was a territorial protection by the Shamrocks at the WLA draft earlier this year. He will be representing Canada at the World Field Lacrosse Championships in San Diego June 21 - July 1.
"We couldn't be happier than to keep the Wilson brothers together in lacrosse," said Shamrocks general manager Chris Welch. "They are two of the young players we're building around going forward."
