Shamrocks return home this Friday with Aaron Bold, player cards & a match up with Salmonbellies

Victoria, BC – Fresh off leading the Saskatchewan Rush to their third straight appearance in the National Lacrosse League championship series, goaltender Aaron Bold will be making his 2017 regular season debut with the Victoria Shamrocks on Friday night at the Q-Centre against the New Westminster Salmonbellies.

Bold rejoins the Shamrocks in time to lend some relief to Cody Hagedorn who has been impressive in backstopping the team to a strong start to the season with a record of five wins and one loss, good enough for first place in league standings.

This will be the Salmonbellies only regular season appearance in Victoria this year. In the previous meeting between the two historic rivals back on June 1st, Hagedorn played perhaps his best game of the year making 45 saves and leading the Shamrocks to a 5-4 win at historic Queen’s Park Arena.

The Shamrocks have been dominant at home so far this year, winning all three home previous home games in front of large and energetic crowds and they will look to keep that streak going after a strong showing in Maple Ridge on Sunday night as they earned a hard fought 12-10 victory.

The always popular 2017 Victoria Shamrocks player cards are also being released at Friday night’s Mascot Madness game presented by Peninsula Co-op to the first 200 fans through the doors and a chance to win them through the night with the purchase of a game program. The Shamrocks look to make it four straight wins at home with tickets on sale now HERE, phoning 250-478-7625 or at the team store at 967 Langford Parkway.
