Shamrocks Offense Shows No Mercy in 21-6 Win Over Burnaby

Victoria, BC– The Shamrocks move to 2-0 on the season after blowing out Burnaby 21-6 at home. With multiple point nights from nine players, the Shamrocks show their dominance all over the floor. Jesse King once again led the game in points, putting up six goals and six assists. 


The Rocks were hot right out of the gate, scoring 10 goals in the first period. Jacob Ruest started the scoring out for the Rocks just two minutes from the opening whistle. Jesse King put four away in the first period, but the Rocks defenders also showed their offensive skills in transition. With goals from Nishimura and Burton, the Rocks had a 10-3 lead going into the second period. 


Continuing to roll, the Shamrocks put away six goals in the second, Junior “A” call up Patrick Dodds added his second goal of the night, and Marshal King added a pair of his own. Burnaby was held to only one goal in the second, as the defense and goaltender Pete Dubenski were locked in.


In the final frame the Rocks sealed the deal, scoring five more for a season high of 21 goals, and holding Burnaby to only six. Marshal King finished with two goals and six assists, Larson Sundown had three goals and two assists, and Jacob Ruest finished with two goals and three assists. Dubenski finished with 26 saves, and rookie goaltender Colin Jefferey made eight of his own. 


The Shamrocks are back in action Sunday evening as they head to Maple Ridge to take on the Burrards.
