The Shamrocks return to Queens Park Arena playing to take a 2-1 series lead in the WLA Finals after dominating the Salmonbellies with eight straight goals in game two on route to an 11-5 victory.

The trio of Rhys Duch, Joe Resetarits, and Corey Small combined for fourteen points in game two. The Shamrocks also had secondary scoring contributions, with goals from Evan Messenger, Steve Priolo, and Tyler Hass. Lost in the spotlight of the offence was the Shamrocks lockdown defence. After the Salmonbellies went up 3-0 with 4:36 left in the first period, Victoria held them scoreless for the next twenty four minutes.. Aaron Bold stopped forty-one of forty-six in the win, allowing just two goals on the last twenty-nine shots.

Special teams played a key in the game two victory, as Victoria went 2/4 on the power-play, scored another on a six on five advantage, and secured the victory with a shorthanded goal in the final five minutes. Corey Small’s six points moved him into a tie for the playoff scoring race with New Westminster’s Mitch Jones at thirty-eight points, while Casey Jackson and Joe Resetarits sit fourth in the goal department with thirteen each to lead the team.
