Shamrocks Forward Jesse King awarded WLA 1st team All Star, George Blackstock and Chris Hall awards
Victoria Shamrocks Forward Jesse King accepted his Western Lacrosse Association 1st Team All Star award, George Blackstock Memorial Award for most valuable player and the Chris Hall Memorial Award which is awarded to the player with the most competitive spirit, as voted by the Shamrocks players at the Shamrocks fan appreciation event in McCormick Meadows presented by Head Coach Bob Heyes.Â
In 2015, King finished seventh in the WLA in points scoring 33 goals and 31 assists for 64 points in 16 games. King continued his strong play in the postseason, scoring 13 goals and 19 assists in 11 games between the WLA playoffs and the Mann Cup championship. King is a Victoria native, who was drafted sixth overall to the Shamrocks in 2014, after a dominant junior career with the Junior A Shamrocks. While growing up, King played with Juan de Fuca Lacrosse.
