Shamrocks End Salmonbellies Streak

The Shamrocks end the Salmonbellies streak in a gritty 12-11 victory on the road. With a determined Grit, the Shamrocks turned the tables. The Shamrocks lossed in their previous encounter on Sunday, June 3rd with the Salmonbellies winning 9-8. This action-packed game was certainly not one to miss.


The first 6 minutes of the game was a firestorm with the Shamrocks launching 19 shots and the Salmonbellies with 28. A determined Victoria Shamrocks emerged from the first period with a 7-5 lead. 


The well-matched opponents squared off at 50% on the face-off but the Salmonbellies couldn’t score past the Shamrocks bulwark defense. The Shamrocks once again demonstrated their breadth as Tyson Gibson, and Rhys Duch both scored 3 goals, Jesse King and Casey Jackson scored 2 goals, and Steve Priolo and Alec Molander both scored 1 goal each. Chris Wardle ensured the team’s success with an impressive 6 assists.
