Shamrocks Chop Down Timbermen

Sunday, June 10th

It was an offensive explosion for the Victoria Shamrocks, as they scored eight goals in the final two periods to take down the Nanaimo Timbermen 13-5. Thanks to a hat trick from Rhys Duch and a formidable performance from goalie Cody Hagedorn, the Shamrocks finished the night third in the WLA standings. The Rocks also got substantial contributions from Dallas Wade and rookie Tyson Gibson. Wade scored his first two goals of the 2018 WLA season while Gibson had a goal and three assists on the night.

The Shamrocks evened the score against the Timbermen in a dominating performance. They now have two straight wins giving them momentum heading into a back to back situation this Thursday and Friday. The Shamrocks will pay a visit to Queen’s Park Arena and take on New Westminster Thursday night. While on Friday, the Maple Ridge Burrards pay a visit to Victoria to face against the Shamrocks for the first time this season. Gametime is 7:30 pm for Friday’s game and fans are reminded to arrive early as doors open at 6:30!
