Shamrocks add another key addition with returning Tyler Hass

Victoria – The Victoria Shamrocks are excited to announce that Tyler Hass will be returning to the team for the remainder of the 2017 season, and will be in the lineup on Friday when we take on the New Westminster Salmonbellies.

Hass, a Victoria native, is returning for his sixth season with the Shamrocks who last played during the 2015 season and was a big part of the 9th Mann Cup Championship team.

As well as bringing experience to the team, Hass brings considerable size and strength to the Shamrocks back end. In five seasons with the Shamrocks, Hass played 64 games with 55 points in the regular season and 57 games with 49 points in the playoffs.  Hass also won the Bill Ellison trophy as most valuable player in the 2014 WLA playoffs.

Hass will be returning to the Q Centre on Friday with 2015 Mann Cup Championship teammate Goaltender Aaron Bold (who was signed earlier in the season and recently finished his commitments in the NLL Championship).

The Shamrocks have been dominant at home so far this year, winning all three home previous home games in front of large and energetic crowds and they will look to keep that streak going after a strong showing in Maple Ridge on Sunday night as they earned a hard fought 12-10 victory.

The always popular 2017 Victoria Shamrocks player cards are also being released at Friday night’s Mascot Madness game presented by Peninsula Co-op to the first 200 fans through the doors and a chance to win them through the night with the purchase of a game program. The Shamrocks look to make it four straight wins at home with tickets on sale now at victoriashamrocks.com, phoning 250-478-7625 or at the team store at 967 Langford Parkway.
