Island Savings and the Shamrocks Team up to Fill the Cupboard
Three seasons ago Island Savings wanted to team up with the Shamrocks for something a little more impactful. Over 1000 pounds of food, and nearly $1000 in cash later and Fill the Cupboard is back for another season with the Shamrocks hosting the Coquitlam Adanacs on Friday night at the Q Centre.
When asked about the importance of the evening, Island Savings Branch Manager Kyle Douglas explained "The Shamrocks and their fans are so great to work with. Through our signature cause, The Full Cupboard, we've teamed up to do some great things for the Goldstream Foodbank. Island Savings is aiming to reduce hunger in all the communities we serve on the Island."
The Shamrocks Director of Corporate Partnerships David Michaud echoed Douglas' statement "When you have a platform in the community the way the Shamrocks do, it's important to be a voice. The Shamrocks through our partnership with Island Savings are excited to see the Fill the Cupboard night back for another season and hope our fan base supports the night with the donation of either cash or a non-perishable food item."
Annually, the Goldstream Foodbank services thousands of locals and the support is always needed and appreciated regardless of the time of year.
Game time is scheduled for 7:00 pm on Friday as the Shamrocks host the Coquitlam Adanacs in another key matchup. After getting off to a slow start, the Shamrocks have responded with wins in 3 of their last 4 games.
