Hagedorn & King Earn Weekly WLA Honours

The Western Lacrosse Association announced Monday night the Shamrocks earned a clean sweep of the weekly awards.

Cody Hagedorn was named the WLA goalie of the week after backstopping the Shamrocks to a pair of massive weekend wins. Hagedorn posted a .839 save % and allowed just 13 goals in the two big wins over the New Westminster Salmonbellies and the Maple Ridge Burrards.

Jesse King meanwhile was named the WLA player of the week after a massive 9 point effort against the Salmonbellies Friday, and a solid 4 point game on Sunday against Maple Ridge. King’s 13 points not only led the charge offensively, it meant King was in on 54% of the Shamrocks goals this past weekend!

Congratulations to both Cody and Jesse on the well-deserved recognition.

Shamrocks fans can catch Cody and Jesse in action on Friday night at the Q Centre as they host the Coquitlam Adanacs at 7:00 pm. The game is the annual “Fill the Cupboard” night presented by Island Savings. The Shamrocks and Island Savings are encouraging all fans to bring a non-perishable food item to the game in support of the food bank.
