Shamrocks look to rebound after Game One and capitalize on outshooting the Burrards

After Game One, the Shamrocks know they are facing another physical series with the Maple Ridge Burrards as they defend their WLA and Mann Cup Championship titles.Â
The Rocks sent a lot of shots towards the net and off the posts while outshooting the Burrards on Sunday in Victoria.  If they are to be successful, they will have to find a way to get inside and challenge Maple Ridge goaltender Frankie Scigliano. Tyler Burton continues to dominate in the faceoff circle and that can be the key to moving the ball down the floor quickly. Both Victoria goaltenders are able to kick start the offense with long outlet passes. While Adam Shute has primarily been Victoria’s goaltender, Cody Hagedorn got into some extended action in Game One, so both are ready to go.Â
Junior call-ups have brought a lot of energy to the Shamrocks’ line-up, and it looks like Braylon Lumb has become a fixture. Corey Small, Cory Conway and Rhys Duch will continue to lead offensively, and will rely on Chris Wardle and Jeff Shattler for secondary scoring with the odd rush up the floor by the defense.
The game is available to watch at the Shamrocks Official “Post-Game locationâ€, Browns Socialhouse in Langford starting at 6:00pm, as well as Pay Per View under the FanZone tab at victoriashamrocks.com.
