Game #4 Between Shamrocks and Timbermen Goes Tonight in Nanaimo

Victoria, BC – Game #4 of the 2018 WLA semi-final playoff series between the Victoria Shamrocks and the Nanaimo Timbermen goes tonight in Nanaimo’s Frank Crane Arena. The Shamrocks currently lead the series 2 games to 1. They enter tonight’s game full steam after winning the last two games including a dominating 8-4 win in Game #2 over the Timbermen on August 3rd in Nanaimo.
Game #3 was a great all-around performance from the Shamrocks. 10 different Shamrocks registered a point and 5 separate Shamrocks scored at least one goal. It was a great night for Casey Jackson, who had 5 goals and an assist. He has scored at least one goal in every game so far in the playoffs and hasn’t gone a game without scoring in 2018. Casey established himself as the league’s leading goal scorer in the regular season and currently sits 2 goals behind Curtis Dickson of Maple Ridge for the lead in the playoffs goal scoring list.
Adam Shute was stellar once again on Sunday as he made 41 saves including 18 critical 3rd period stops for the win. Shute has 7.30 goals against average and a .845 save percentage in the playoffs. He has made the most saves in the postseason so far, stopping 131 shots through the first 3 games. The Calgary, Alberta native is improving on his 8.09 GAA and 0.808 save percentage in the regular season.
The Shamrocks game in Nanaimo starts at 7:30pm tonight. After tonight, Game #5 will go on Friday between the ‘Rocks and T-men at The Q Centre.
