Brad to the Bone: Rocks Sign Defender Brad Kri for the 2022 Season
Victoria, BC– The Victoria Shamrocks are thrilled to have defensive veteran Brad Kri back on the Island for the 2022 season.
Kri, an Acton, ON, native, was a member of the Rocks from 2014-2015 and is back to bolster the defensive end. Kri helped lead the way to two Mann Cup trips during his time with the Rocks, including the 2015 Championship.
“It’s great to have Brad with us,” General Manager Chris Welch said. “Since playing here, he’s developed into one of the most elite defenders in the game. He’s a huge addition to this group and we can’t wait to see him in action.”
Kri has not only had success with the Shamrocks, but also in the NLL with the Toronto Rock. This past season, Kri had 17 points, 145 loose balls, and 46 caused turnovers. A key defender for the Rock, Kri will add size, strength and veteran leadership to a young Shamrocks defense.
“Coming to Victoria is a no-brainer,” Kri said. “Between team management and all the people behind the scenes in this organization, it makes the Shamrocks family feel like a second home. I can’t wait to be back and get started in the hunt for another Mann Cup.”
Kri has succeeded at all levels of lacrosse, and will make an immediate impact with the Rocks. No stranger to the Shamrocks organization, Victoria is sure to welcome back Kri with open arms, and a cheering crowd at the Q! Centre.
Kri will make his return to the Rocks Sunday, June 5th at Maple Ridge, so make sure to tune in on our PlayFullScreen stream. Kri will be back at the Q! Centre for the first time since 2015 on June 10th at 6:45pm as we take on the Coquitlam Adanacs. Tickets are available on our website or in store on Tuesdays and Fridays from 12-5pm.
