Tight Game vs. The Salmonbellies

Sunday, June 3rd

Last Sunday’s game between the Victoria Shamrocks and New Westminster Salmonbellies was a tight game from beginning to end. Unfortunately for the Shamrocks, they couldn’t find the net in the final few minutes to tie the game and went on to lose 9-8 to the Salmonbellies. The Shamrocks were never fully down and out of the game at any time. They were on the wrong end of the clock and couldn’t manage to score a goal to tie the game.

Jesse King put up the highest points for any Shamrocks player on the night. He scored 2 goals and finished with 7 points. Casey Jackson also worked vigilantly to take the win at home scoring 2 goals and 5 assists. Goaltender Christian Del Bianco made his first WLA start in net for the Shamrocks on a one-game release from the Coquitlam Jr. Adanacs. He made 47 saves on 56 shots and received second-star honors for his remarkable performance.
