Shamrocks Strike Thunder

The Victoria Shamrocks boldly claim victory over the Langley Thunder winning 14-7. After a stagnant first period in which no team could sieze an advantage, the Shamrocks managed to jump ahead scoring a whopping 8 goals in the second period. The Shamrocks mottled the Thunders chances at a comeback as they added 3 more goals in the third to finish the game and secure the Wednesday night “W”. 


6 Shamrocks players had 4 points on the night and nobody added more to the score sheet than Casey Jackson. Jackson finished the game with 4 goals and 4 assists to add 8 points to his season total of 24 points. He is currently second in the league in points and goals with 12. Jesse King, Chris Wardle, and Alec Molander each finished the night with 5 points and Cody Hagedorn made his first start since injuring himself on June 3rd. Hagedorn stopped 35 of 42 shots and claiming their first win since the season opener since May 25th. It was a strong performance from the entire team that will give them momentum heading into their next game on June 10th to even the score against the Nanaimo Timbermen.
